Elemental Accelerator showcased at SIGGRAPH 2009

Plug-in offers 11x speedup of h.264 encoding in Premiere Pro CS4

At SIGGRAPH 2009, the Elemental Accelerator 2.0 plug-in  for NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards can be seen at PNY Booth #2017. It was also announced that Hewlett Packard's HP Z workstations have been outfitted with the CUDA based plug-in to enhance and speed up processes in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. The plugin offloads H.264 encoding to the Quadro GPU, increasing encoding performance 11x over CPU only encoding solutions, the company said.  The plug-in works with NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800, 3800, 4800 and 5800 GPUs and can be outfitted on HP Z800, Z600, Z400, xw4600 and xw9400 workstations.

Elemental Accelerator 2.0 plug-in software works in conjunction with NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800, 3800, 4800 and 5800 GPUs. It is available on the Hewlett-Packard HP Z800, Z600, Z400, xw4600 and xw9400 workstations. The complete system can be purchased at www.hp.com/go/workstations.
